A lifelong resident of Wisconsin Dells, graduate of Wisconsin Dells High School, when the opportunity came along to be one of the first local graduates to be hired as a social studies teacher, the decision was easy. For the next 25 years I taught History, Civics, Wisconsin History, as well as other social studies subject assigned. While employed by the Wisconsin Dells School District I served as the advisor for Key Club for 10 years, Student Council for 10 years, coached baseball for 15, and was a WIAA official for football and Basketball for 25 years.
Throughout my career in education I always viewed myself as a public servant, to my students, parents, administration, and fellow teachers. That passion of serving others extended beyond an educator, serving in several local civic clubs, church boards and committees. Shortly after retirement I ran for a seat as an Adams County Supervisor (Dist. 1) and currently am serving a second term. Assisting tax payers with county government issues has proved to be very rewarding.
The desire to assist people was the motivation to pursue a second career in Real Estate. Whether buying or selling a home or condominium; looking for vacant land or a solid investment in property; the process can be confusing and overwhelming. Helping people navigate through the Real Estate process is just as rewarding as helping a parent navigate through a problem with their child.
To quote Herbert Hoover, “Being a Politician is a poor profession, being a public service is a noble one.”
